Bootcamps

For middle and high school students.

Educating and raising awareness among young people, along with the active participation of every citizen, are crucial to promoting the kind of sustainability we believe in.

Bootcamps are an initiative based on an active, participatory, and community-collaborative learning approach, inspired by the principles of design thinking and project-based learning. They focus on high school students and involve the local community as co-creators and the ultimate beneficiaries of the solutions.

This learning experience offers the opportunity to develop key skills with the support of mentors from local institutions and nationally impactful companies, such as:

Leadership
Communication
Strategic thinking
Team work

This is a day when participants have the opportunity to hear from experts who introduce key concepts related to energy literacy, climate transition, and energy justice, fostering critical awareness of current challenges. Afterward, in small groups, students reflect on the issues identified, brainstorm ideas, and select energy challenges relevant to their local community.

Lisboa: Sustainability plan for Café Joyeux with support from Novo Verde
Alenquer: On promoting energy efficiency and energy literacy among the most vulnerable populations
Fundão: On promoting energy efficiency and literacy among the most vulnerable populations
Figueira da Foz: On ensuring access to education for all; without knowledge for all, we cannot achieve equitable sustainability.
Constância e Vila Nova da Barquinha: On the future of young people in the region; considering the professions the region needs and what businesses can be created to encourage them to settle in the area.
Amarante: On the future of young people in the region; considering existing resources, the professions the region needs, and what businesses can be created to encourage them to settle in the area.

Post-Bootcamp Mentoring

With the aim of encouraging and supporting the project launched at the Bootcamp.

Stakeholders Involved: City Council members, EDP specialists, members of Mentes Empreendedoras, industry experts, and other teams participating in the Bootcamps.

Activities: Online meetings, status updates via email, sessions with experts, with other teams, with City Council members, and with members of Mentes Empreendedoras.

Dá Voz à Terra

We urgently need to give the Earth a voice and listen to what it has to tell us. The Earth has expressed itself through extreme climate phenomena – droughts, floods, global warming, melting ice or heat waves – increasingly frequent, everywhere. We have to act, without delay, working in the present due to the urgency of the moment, but paving the way for the future through the education and training of younger people.

They are the decision makers of the tomorrow we want: without plastic in the oceans, with zero CO2 emissions and without the pollution that so harms biodiversity and the environment. A future towards decarbonization and energy transition. A clean planet, deep down.

We want to give a stage to young people. We want to promote a more sustainable future for the planet!

Desafio

Inspirada no mote “pequenos gestos, grandes mudanças”, a 3ª edição do Dá Voz à Terra desafia as crianças de escolas de todo o país a ouvir a Terra e a responder-lhe, tornando-se os seus verdadeiros Guardiões.

O desafio é simples: os alunos devem imaginar e desenvolver uma invenção capaz de ajudar o Planeta a viver melhor.

O principal objetivo é mostrar que não são precisos superpoderes para cuidar da Terra e que as pequenas ações podem trazer grandes mudanças.

As turmas mais criativas, selecionadas por um júri, serão convidadas a participar no evento "Dá Voz à Terra", que terá lugar na sede da EDP, em Lisboa.

Prémio: A escola da turma vencedora receberá um prémio no valor de 3.000€ em cartão.

Passos

Inscrição

O/A professor/a manifesta interesse em participar no desafio com a sua turma enviando um e-mail para ola@kico.pt ou respondendo ao e-mail enviado sobre o projeto – identificando o nome da escola, o(s) professor(es) e a(s) turma(s) a candidatar.

A candidatura implica o conhecimento e a aceitação do regulamento.

Submissão de trabalhos

Após a validação da participação, a(s) turma(s) deverá(ão) responder ao desafio, desenvolvendo uma invenção criativa que ajude o Planeta Terra a ser mais sustentável

A submissão deverá ser feita através do formulário de participação, complementada com fotografias, vídeo ou outro formato à escolha, e enviada para ola@kico.pt.

Anúncio dos vencedores da 1ª fase

As turmas vencedoras serão contactadas por e-mail e convidadas a participar no evento da EDP, “Dá voz à Terra”, a realizar-se na sua sede, em Lisboa.

Evento Final

No evento serão realizados três workshops criativos (expressão oral, audiovisual e artística e visual) onde irão desenvolver as competências de autonomia, criatividade e comunicação.

Após apresentação e defesa das suas invenções, um júri irá identificar a turma da escola vencedora.

A primeira edição do programa Dá Voz à Terra contou com escolas da área metropolitana de Lisboa na criação de projetos inovadores e impactantes, reafirmando o compromisso com a sustentabilidade. Este ano, reforçamos a nossa missão de inspirar os jovens de todo o país a contribuir para um futuro mais sustentável.

O programa Dá Voz à Terra voltou em 2025 para a sua segunda edição, contando com mais de 1.800 alunos de 90 escolas, de norte a sul do país, a responderem ao desafio da sustentabilidade.

Foram 154 finalistas que se reuniram na sede da EDP, em Lisboa, para um dia de workshops de fotografia, vídeo e áudio, onde transformaram ideias em ação. Uma escola saiu vencedora, mas todas as vozes fizeram a diferença.

Mais do que um evento, o Dá Voz à Terra é a nossa forma de capacitar a próxima geração a liderar a mudança. Porque as grandes ideias começam, muitas vezes, com as vozes mais pequenas.

Regulamento

Os professores são responsáveis por inscrever as respetivas turmas e podem manifestar interesse em participar no desafio, devendo esse interesse ser enviado para o endereço de email ola@kico.pt ou em resposta ao email enviado pela organização.

Os participantes selecionados, convidados a participar no evento, serão anunciados nesta página em momento oportuno.
